Welcome to welimit (the "App"), a mobile application designed to help users manage screen time boundaries through a collaborative, shared time pool system.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you," "user," or "your"), and Floroiu Ștefan, residing at Strada Garoafei 17, Romania (collectively, "we," "us," "our," or the "Operator").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms. If you do not agree with all of these Terms, then you are expressly prohibited from using the App, and you must discontinue use immediately.
Please note that the Operator is currently undergoing a corporate restructuring and business incorporation process. You are hereby expressly notified and agree that all rights, ownership, responsibilities, liabilities, and enforcement powers under these Terms will seamlessly and automatically transfer, assign, and delegate to Bedroomlabs SRL immediately upon its final registration with the National Trade Register Office (ONRC) in Romania.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to make changes or modifications to these Terms at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date of these Terms. It is your responsibility to periodically review these Terms to stay informed of updates.
The App is intended solely for users who are at least thirteen (13) years of age. By registering an account or using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of 18, you represent that you have received explicit permission from your parent or legal guardian to download and use the App under their supervision.
To access the App, you are required to authenticate and register an account using supported third-party identity providers (such as Google Authentication). You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process, including your inputted display name. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your authentication states and maintaining the security of your account credentials.
The App functions through the creation of shared digital spaces ("Lobbies" or "Rooms"). Accounts may be configured into:
You understand and agree that by entering a Lobby or Squad, your inputted display name, profile avatar, and abstract room-relative usage statistics will be visible to all other authorized members within that specific room configuration.
The core utility of the App relies on a shared time asset allocation system (the "Shared Pool"). Multiple devices in a pair or squad configuration draw down from the exact same finite balance of daily minutes assigned to that room. When the abstract Shared Pool balance reaches zero (0) seconds, the system triggers local restriction protocols for all active members belonging to that room.
To enforce your elected boundaries, the App utilizes Apple’s native Screen Time frameworks (including the DeviceActivity and ManagedSettings developer APIs).
IMPORTANT SAFETY DISCLOSURE: The App is designed to restrict access to chosen high-distraction software applications.
The App contains a built-in loyalty and gamification workspace (the "Shop") powered by a virtual, non-fiat utility token ("Coins"). Coins are distributed automatically to a shared Lobby Vault at the end of each daily cycle based strictly on the aggregate amount of unused minutes remaining in your room's Shared Pool.
You explicitly acknowledge and agree to the following economic boundaries governing Coins:
Because Coins are property of the active digital room entity rather than an individual asset, all accumulated Coins inside a Lobby Vault are permanently and instantly deleted if the room is dissolved, if the squad members disconnect, or if your account is closed. The Operator retains no obligation to restore, convert, or compensate for forfeited Coins under any circumstances.
Items available for unlock within the Shop (including alternative app icons, profile status frames, custom notification sounds, and aesthetic layout modifications) are strictly cosmetic in nature. They do not alter the functional underlying constraints of Apple's blocking frameworks.
The App operates exclusively as a paid software service. Access to the creation of rooms, shared pools, tracking metrics, and synchronization servers requires a valid, active subscription license.
By purchasing a subscription, you authorize the App to charge your native Apple App Store billing account for the chosen licensing tier. The mandatory subscription tiers are structured as follows:
In accordance with our strict premium access structure, the App does not provide a free trial period upon initial registration. Billing commences immediately upon your explicit confirmation of purchase via Apple’s secure in-app purchase flow.
To facilitate streamlined coordination among friends and partners, a single subscription purchase covers the room hosting license. However, the Operator reserves the right to implement individual user validation or modify room capacity limits at any time.
Subscriptions are scheduled to renew automatically at the expiration of each billing cycle unless you disable the auto-renew mechanic at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the conclusion of the active period. You must manage, modify, or cancel your active subscription directly within your iOS native Apple ID Account Settings.
The App's effectiveness depends entirely on mutual integrity within the designated Squad or Pair. You agree to maintain all necessary device permissions active, including local Apple Screen Time authorization profiles and background notification tokens, during your entire involvement in a room.
You explicitly agree not to use automated external macros, side-channel technical exploits, or clock-tampering settings to artificially manipulate your shared pool tracking integers or spoof coin generation rules. The Operator reserves the right to permanently terminate or suspend accounts that disrupt the software's synchronization protocols.
Unless otherwise indicated, the App, including its source code, databases, functionality, software, core algorithms, user interface designs, audio custom notification files, and graphics (collectively, the "Content"), as well as the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein (the "Marks"), are owned or controlled by the Operator. They are protected by copyright, trademark, and various other intellectual property rights laws under Romanian jurisdiction, foreign jurisdictions, and international conventions.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and your active payment of subscription fees, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, personal license to download, install, and use the App on your individual iOS devices strictly for personal, non-commercial purposes.
To the extent that the App permits you to submit custom text strings, lobby labels, or custom display headers (such as using a "Vandalism Token" acquired via the internal Shop), you retain ownership of any text you input. However, by submitting content, you grant the Operator a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to synchronize, transmit, and display this text to your designated Squad or Pair members. You are strictly prohibited from submitting text that is unlawful, defamatory, or violates third-party intellectual property rights.
The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. You agree that your use of the App and our software services will be at your sole risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator disclaims all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the App and your use thereof, including, without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. Because the App relies on the Apple Screen Time API to dynamically block access to selected applications based on your squad's collective behavior, there may be instances where a phone application becomes unavailable unexpectedly or a notification is obscured.
The Operator shall not be held liable for any service interruptions, database synchronization delays, Supabase or server-side down-times, network latency issues, or unexpected bugs that alter the real-time countdown or tracking accuracy of your room's Shared Pool or Coin generation logs.
These Terms and your use of the App are governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any legal action, suit, dispute, or judicial proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service or the utilization of the App shall be brought exclusively before the competent courts located within the region of the Operator's registration in Romania. You hereby explicitly consent to, and waive all defenses of lack of personal jurisdiction and forum non conveniens with respect to, venue and jurisdiction in such courts.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to make changes or modifications to these Terms at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date of these Terms. It is your responsibility to periodically review these Terms to stay informed of updates. Your continued use of the App after the date any revised Terms are posted will be deemed to have made you aware of, and subject to, the changes in the revised Terms.
